Touchdown!

We made it. A marathon journey to start a new life, marred only by the fact that turbulence forced our children to be moved from their sleeping positions, on the aeroplane floor (Ruby) and bassinette (Lana), to their seats on and off throughout the second leg from, Hong Kong to Brisbane. The result was much upset and restlessness and some 30 hours without sleep for Penni and me.
It felt good to arrive though and the adrenalin was pumping as I presented my passport in order to enter Australia...on a one-way ticket. From the airport we drove to a cousin's house and the promise of rest, but not before a quick visit to the local playground...

15 Days left in the Rainbow Street House

Check 1, 2 tap tap tap TESTING SQueeeek... Ah Helloooo or should I say G'day mate!

I wonder how long it will take for me to revert to the full Aussie drawl. My guess is that Phil will still sound just as Pommy in 40 years time. (fingers crossed)

We have 15 days left in London and I for one am feeling uncharacteristically organised! I keep waiting for something to pop up that we have completely forgotten and will leave us panicking, stressed and rushed off our feet with 1 day to go! Stay tuned for that update in 14 days.

A friend asked me the other day where I see myself come January and I answered "dossing at my dads and wondering if since Rainbow Street still hasn't sold if we should head back to London and pretend we never left!"
Phil and I are famous for making a decision with steadfast determination then doing a complete 180 after about 2 weeks then spending the next 3 months trying to decide whether to stick to our original decision or turn back and living in splendid indecision until something happens to make our decision for us.

Hopefully that something will be the house selling and setting us adrift with nothing to look back to.
I hope we have enough alcohol?
